Common Core Free Resources Edition #4

Our fourth addition has three great activities once again. Make sure to take a look at how they will fit into your Common Core Classroom! 

Primary
Jana Wilson, of Thinking Out Loud, has a great resources to help younger students write sentences titled Crafting Sentences. This lesson has everything you will need including graphic organizers, and the steps of how to implement the lesson through guided and independent practice. Intermediate
Margaret Whisnant has a great resource titled: February Bouquet: A Vocabulary/Spelling Brain Teaser. This is a great activity for the study of English words with tricky words such as "February" and "bouquet." Watch their writing foundational skills improve!

Intermediate/Secondary
Jason of PowerPoint Maniac has a great resource titled: Author's Purpose Practice Interactive Powerpoint Activity. If you want a fun way to discuss how author's write to inform, persuade, or entertain, then this quiz format will be a hit with your students!
