I love the interest inventory. I do something like this too. I hold on to them all year. Then at the end of the year, during our last week, I have them fill out a new one. When they finish, I give them back their old one so that they can compare their answers at the beginning of the year to their answers at the end. It usually brings a few laughs! :-)
