Creative Christmas Teaching Resources for Grades 3-5

There is already snow on the ground, and temperatures are dipping into the single digits in early November here in Wisconsin.

Our students have begun to talk about Christmas, and it is evident that snow plays a big part in this. As we edge closer to a favorite holiday of many children, we are happy to announce a bundled Christmas resource that we just put together. This bundle, that includes 8 resources, is sure to be a hit with your students this holiday season!

Here is what is included:

1. Creative Writing Activity: Students are Unemployed Elves
In this fun Christmas writing project activity, your students will take on the role of an unemployed elf and will have to apply for a job at the North Pole for the Christmas season. This creative project allows the children to read North Pole job postings, apply for a job by writing an application letter, and going through an interview process for the job. This lesson involves the 6 Traits, and speaking skills as assessments, but your students will not even realize this due to the high interest level in this project!

The document is 7 pages in length and includes: the job openings descriptions, how to write an application letter, how to obtain references, tips on how to be successful in an interview, a rubric to assess their writing and speaking skills and certificates for the jobs. This will be a hit with your students!
